Description: An examination of the organi- zation, function, and behavior of eukaryotic cells. Topics include membrane systems, protein targeting, the cytoskeleton, motility, and cell division. Emphasis is on the experiments that form the basis of the cur- rent understanding of the cell. Students read original journal articles, an analysis of which is the focus of the discussion section.
