Description: A discussion of some major issues and thinkers in the tradition dominant in twentieth-century British and American philosophy. Philosophers dis- cussed might include Frege, Russell, Carnap, Quine, Kripke, and D. Lewis.
Credit: Credit is awarded for only one of PHIL 131 or PHIL 231.
