Description: An introduction to engineering thermody- namics with emphasis on chemical and environmen- tal engineering systems. Topics include concepts of equilibrium, temperature, and reversibility; the first law and concept of energy; and the second law and concept of entropy. Also examines equations of state, thermodynamic properties, and engineering applica- tions used in the analysis and design of closed and open systems.
