Description: A comparative and historical analysis of subordinated communities and law with special emphasis on inte- grating theoretical understanding of racial, class, and gender subordination. Field experience working direct- ly with groups that have traditionally lacked equal access to the legal and judicial system. Cross-listed with SOC 145. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
