Description: A comparative and historical analysis of subordinated communities and law with special emphasis on integrating theoretical understanding of racial, class, and gender subordination. Field experi- ence working directly with groups that have tradition- ally lacked equal access to the legal and judicial sys- tem. Cross-listed with SOC 145. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
