Description: This course is concerned with the econom- ics of agricultural and rural development in developing countries. Topics examined include technical change, sharecropping and interlinked factor markets, migra- tion, poverty and famine, land reform, environmental aspects of rural development, and structural adjust- ment within agriculture.
