Description: An examination of the organi- zation, function, and behavior of eukaryotic cells. Explores the molecular mechanisms used by cells to control reproduction, growth, and responses to extra- cellular signals. Emphasis is on experiments that form the basis of the current understanding of the cell. Students read original journal articles, an analysis of which is the focus of the discussion section.
