Prerequisites: POSC 203 with a grade of C- or better; graduate standing; or consent of instructor
Description: Offers advanced training in methods of comparative historical analysis (CHA) in the social sciences. Topics include intellectual history of CHA, temporal analysis, path dependence, historical institutionalism, data collection, mixed-methods research, and publishing. Focuses on creating and critiquing research designs and undertaking major CHA projects. Assumes background in qualitative methodology.
