Prerequisites: upper- division standing, with at least 12 units of upper-division credits toward the major

Description: An academic internship to provide the student with career experience as a mathematician in a governmental, industrial, or research unit under the joint supervision of an off-campus sponsor and a faculty member in Mathematics. Each individual program must have the prior approval of both supervisors and the department chair. A final written report is required.

Credit: Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC). May be repeated for a total of 8 units.
