Description: A study of the fundamentals of computer design. Topics include the performance evaluation of microprocessors; instruction set design and measurements of use; microprocessor implementation techniques including multicycle and pipelined implementations; computer arithmetic; memory hierarchy; and input/output (I/O) systems.
