Description: Overview of species distribution modeling, also called environmental niche modeling or habitat suitability modeling. Addresses biogeographical theories of species niche, data models for species and environmental data, and data analysis and model validation. Applies modern regression (Generalized Linear Models) and other modeling techniques (GAMs, classification trees, MaxEnt) using R software.
