Description: Focuses on how social factors shape patterns and experiences of health and illness for individuals and populations. Covers the impact on accessing medical care. Includes many other “mechanisms” or “pathways”, social environments, personal beliefs, behaviors/ lifestyles, stress, and access to resources, that may promote or harm health.
