Prerequisites: restricted to class level standing of junior, or senior; or consent of instructor
Description: Studies in ideas, discoveries, and movements of the English Renaissance (1500-1660). Interrogates the notion of “the Renaissance” in its attention to literary, artistic, philosophical, scientific and/or cultural change. May focus on the development of print culture, the rise of women writers, or the formation of radical religious groups. Course is repeatable as content or topic changes to a maximum of 8 units.
