Description: Examines various aspects of the novel form such as narrative, questions of mimesis, and publishing practices. Integrates with the exploration of contemporary discourses relating to shifting conceptions of gender, sexuality, religion, science, class, and race. Course is repeatable as content or topic changes to a maximum of 12 units.
