Description: Explores how, why, and by whom Shakespeare has been translated, adapted, and appropriated across languages and media forms. Contextualizes case study plays in early modern context and then considers adaptations that comment upon, reimagine, or resist the logic of Shakespeare?s cultural influence. Course is repeatable as content or topic changes to a maximum of 8 units.
