Description: Introduces the security problems in the networking domain, attacks and defenses, vulnerabilities in various network protocols. Topics include protocol security of DNS, TCP/ IP, SSL/TLS, applied cryptography, network side channel attacks, firewalls, censorship technology, internet measurement. Guides students to conduct small-scale research projects. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor. Course is repeatable.
