Prerequisites: graduate standing in Chemical and Environmental Engineering or consent of instructor

Description: Covers theoretical and applied concepts of membrane separation processes. Topics may include basic membrane transport theory, membrane materials and formation processes, advanced colloid and surface chemistry, Derjaguin- Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) theory on colloid stability, colloidal hydrodynamics, and transport in porous media. Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC). Course is repeatable.
