Description: An examination of the basic ecological principles related to land restoration. Topics include enhanced succession; plant establishment; plant adaptations; ecotype; weed colonization and competition; nutrient cycling; functions and reintroduction of soil microorganisms; restoration for wildlife; and the determination of successful restoration. Includes field trips to restored sites.
