Description: Provides students with a broad understanding of the politics and economics of countries that border the Pacific Rim, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and China, and of their relationship to the United States. The major issues addressed include economic growth, sociopolitical development, trade, and interdependence.
