Description: A study of soil biota and their relationships with plants and the soil environment. Emphasizes life strategies of soil organisms and methods to study them. Examines importance of microbial and faunal groups from the rhizosphere to the ecosystem. Explores impact on soil fertility, carbon and nitrogen cycles, and Earth’s climate.
