Description: MATH 046 is recommended. An exploration of the physics of the earthquake process. Focuses on fault dynamics during the earthquake rupture and slip processes and its relationship to ground motion. Utilizes theoretical/analytical tools and numerical models. Includes an independent project in computer modeling.
