Description: Provides students with a broad understanding of the rich and varied heritage and history of California Indians from the invasion of the Spanish to the twentieth century. Examines geographically and culturally diverse groups as a means of illustrating the various Euro-American Indian policies that affected native Californians. Course is comparative and thematic.
