Description: Investigates aquatic insects as nutrient cyclers, pollution indicators, disease vectors, and fish food. Involves identification of major orders and families, morphological and physiological adaptations, and life history strategies. Laboratory emphasizes identification (collection) and includes a group field ecology project and two weekend field trips.
