Description: Explores linguistic, sociolinguistic, and sociopolitical dimensions of Black language in the United States. Considers the relationship between Black language and Blackness. Critically interrogates the role of Black language in classroom instruction, schools, and society. Encourages liberatory learning engagements and centers the lived experiences of Black language speakers.
