Description: Analyzes and critically evaluates the linguistics of Ancient Maya Writing. Topics include grammar (transitive, intransitive, positional, active, passive, mediopassive, antipassive, inchoactive verbs, tense, aspect, transitive perfect, noun, pronoun, morphosyllable, phonology); three writing methods (transcriptions, transliteration, and translation); title and rank; scripts and ideologies; and dynastic interactions.
