Prerequisites: consent of instructor

Description: Fundamentals of the discrete fast Fourier transform will be introduced. Applications of the technique to laboratory data processing including smoothing and deconvolution will be considered. Instrumentation, theory, and applications of Fourier transform infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectrometry are to be reviewed.
