Description: Examines debates in the study of human rights and social injustice. Uses case studies in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to explore legal, cultural, and political practices and representations of rights and reconciliation in postconflict settings. Includes globalization of rights; cultural relativism; indigenous rights movements; advocacy; and gender and health rights.
