Description: Examines cultural themes from a transatlantic perspective, through study of literature, film, and visual arts. Topics include chronicles of the conquest, cultures of the baroque, religious traditions and conflicts, the incorporation of popular culture into the literary tradition, contemporary writers, and cinema. Course is conducted in English.
