Description: Examines religious virtuosi in Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism, including Puu Mi Bun, sufis, swamis, saints, and martyrs. Uncovers the close connection between these religions in terms of ritual technology, soteriological goals, meditative practices, and eschatological articulations.
