Description: Survey of common experimental techniques used in the field of condensed matter physics. Topics include nanofabrication and characterization, advanced thin film growth methods, vacuum techniques, electrical and magnetic characterization, cryogenic instrumentation, optical measurements, X-ray techniques, data acquisition and analysis, and general lab techniques.

Credit: May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor.
