Description: Covers vector and tensor notation and analysis. Introduces the concept of deformation, strain, and stress tensors. Elaborates fundamental balance and conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. Describes constitutive equations for elastic, viscoelastic, and plastic solids; and ideal, compressible, and viscous fluids.
