Prerequisites: upper-division standing or lower-division English course (other than composition) or consent of instructor

Description: Focuses on some of Shakespeare’s dramatic inquiries into the nature of skepticism, inquiry and belief. Inquiries into his role as a philosopher- poet, a poetic lover of wisdom. Focuses on several problematic works: The Winter’s Tale, The Tempest, Hamlet, and King Lear, and possibly Measure for Measure.
