Description: A comprehensive exploration of the major biogeochemical cycles at and near Earth’s surface. Emphasis is on microbially mediated cycling of elements and isotopes within diverse sedimentary environments and the cause-and-effect relationships with the ocean and atmosphere. Explores 4 billion years of biospheric evolution in light of these cycles.
