Prerequisites: graduate standing; STAT 160C or equivalent or consent of instructor
Description: Addresses topics related to modern nonparametric statistics. Includes nonparametric density estimation, nonparametric regression, permutation test, bootstrap, and multivariate nonparametric methods. Normally graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC), but students may petition the instructor for a letter grade on the basis of assigned extra work or examination.
