Prerequisites: graduate standing in Sociology
Description: Examines the history of and current developments in transnational social movements including inter- movement relations and North-South issues within movements, as well as the development of global civil society. Focuses on collaborative research projects, though may also include development of individual projects. Students who submit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable for a maximum of 12 units.
