Description: A theory-based study of the properties of dark matter halos and their connection to galaxy properties. Topics include dark matter collapse in the non-linear regime, Press-Schechter, self-similar collapse, acquisition of mass, and angular momentum. Includes the impact of dark matter properties on hosted galaxies, mergers, environmental effects, and scaling relations.
