Description: Explores the representation of children in French cinema from its inception to the present. Topics include children in the classroom (teachers’ pets and troublemakers); outside of school (juvenile delinquents); social class (the underprivileged and well-off); gender; coming of age; and parental roles (child neglect, the maternal/ paternal). Conducted in French.
