Prerequisites: upper-division standing or consent of the instructor; admission to the UC Washington Center Program

Description: Examines American presidential leadership, the evolving role of the presidency in American culture. Introduces students to major thematic debates that define presidential politics. Complements the internship experience of participants in the UCDC program who intern in the Executive Branch. Guides students through the process of conducting focused and detailed research.
