Description: Covers the theory and applications of ion-surface interactions, surface ionization and excitation, the formation of positive and negative ions and excited atoms at a surface, electron emission due to ion-surface interactions, and electronic processes in collision cascades. Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC). Course is repeatable.
