Description: Covers issues in the study of geomagnetic fields from a geophysical perspective, including fundamentals of magnetohydrodynamics and plasma physics, internal and external sources of geomagnetic fields, structure and variability of the field, dynamo theory, and deep geomagnetic soundings. course is repeatable to a maximum 0f 12 units.
