Prerequisites: upper-division standing or lower-divison English course (other than composition) or consent of instructor

Description: An examination of canis familiaris, the domestic dog, as it circulates within dominant discourses of religion, science, psychology, and art in British and American culture. Particular attention is paid to the figure of the dog in British and American modernism. This is an intensive writing course.
