Description: Emphasizes chromosome-based processes that maintain genome integrity and ensure accurate genome transmission during cell division. Topics are drawn from the primary literature and include chromatin structure and composition, DNA repair and recombination, telomere function and chromosome maintenance, mitotic chromosome segregation, and checkpoint surveillance mechanisms.
