Foreign Language Placement Examination A placement examination is required of all fresh- men entering the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences who wish to meet the foreign language requirement with the same language taken in high school. Consult the quarterly Sched- ule of Classes and placementtest.ucr.edu for date and time. Transfer students who have taken a college-level language course may not take the placement examination and should consult with their advisors.
