Description: Covers topics in early American women’s lives--work, politics, and sexuality--while charting the developments of gendered systems in the United States. Topics may include masculinity, the rise of the middle class, and the private-public dichotomy. Cross- listed with HISA 132. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
