Description: Examines anticolonialist political thought in the context of contemporaneous and subsequent critical work in interdisciplinary fields. Engages these thoughts through frameworks of critical race studies, feminist thought, queer studies, postcolonial studies, and cultural studies. Discusses relevance of anticolonialist theorizations and insights to contemporary social and political problems. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor. Course is repeatable as content changes to a maximum of 12 units.
