Prerequisites: graduate standing or consent of instructor

Description: Focuses on the design and synthesis of highly conjugated organic molecules and polymers for application in molecule-based devices such as sensors, light emitting diodes, and conductors. Students who present a seminar or submit a term paper receive a letter grade; other students receive a Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grade. Course is repeatable.
