Description: Discusses different and dynamic aspects of religion in various Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Explores contextualized readings featuring historical, anthropological, literary, and other discipli- nary perspectives on this diverse region. May be taken Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) with consent of instructor and graduate advisor. Course is repeatable as topic changes to a maximum of 8 units.
