Description: Introduction to religious traditions that flourished along the ancient Silk Road. Includes Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Manichaeism, Nestorian Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Focuses on the spread, development, and interaction through the me- dieval period. Considers ways in which the Silk Road period legacy figures in religious and political debates in contemporary Central Asia.
