Description: Studies ways in which the mammalian auditory system is organized and functions. Focuses on aspects of auditory physiology that gives rise to au- ditory perceptions. Emphasizes the use of the auditory system to understand principles of sensory system organization and to compare and contrast different sensory modalities.
