Prerequisites: graduate standing or consent of instructor
Description: Intro- duction to electron microscopy and microanalysis of inorganic solids including minerals and synthetic materials. Students learn the physical principles, strengths, and limitations of the method. Laboratory provides hands-on experience with scanning and transmission electron microscopes and interpretation of images and data.
